International Association of Maternal Action + Scholarship (IAMAS) 2025 Conference

  • Boston University 1019 Commonwealth Avenue Boston, MA, 02215 United States (map)

I’ll be joining a community of scholars, writers, artists, and activists gathering at Boston University to engage in an examination of mothering and motherhood, with a common goal of “naming our inheritances, honoring our present responsibilities, and orienting ourselves toward better worlds.” This is the largest conference on motherhood—the 2024 conference hosted more than 300 delegates from 15 countries—and I’m so honored by the invitation to speak. My presentation, “Parenting a Child with a Disability: Navigating Economics, Policy, and Motherhood in a Neoliberal Landscape,” will be part of a panel on Thursday, June 19th.
